Called By Beauty

To my friend Thomas

Torrential rain poured down upon
The dust and grime
Washed out this storm drained heart
At morning’s light the sun broke through
To paint a canvas
Of awakened life

My soul stirred, leapt
And called by beauty
Rose up one more time and went to dance

With every movement taken I did
Brush stroke shade and color
Tint and hue

Reminded once again
That I should not forget myself

Nor forget you.
Inspired by Hazrat Inayat Khan and my  work on Dis-tension
